HEALTH SERVICES

Care for growing bodies

FCM’s health services focus on preventive care for enrolled children and pregnant women — coordinating physical exams, vision and hearing screenings, developmental assessments, and mental health evaluations. Our staff help families schedule appointments and promote handwashing, oral health, and good nutrition.

For pregnant women, the Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker (MIHOW) curriculum provides home visits that support healthy pregnancies, and newborns are automatically enrolled in our Early Head Start program.

Nutrition services

Nutritious meals meet a significant portion of each child’s daily nutritional needs. Working alongside families, our nutrition program identifies each child’s needs, supports special dietary requirements, and makes mealtimes a relaxed, social part of the day.
